3 Reasons Why Amansala Beach Club Is Going to Become Your New Favorite

The beach club at Amansala is one of the best in the area. Since it’s opening, they have received a Traveler’s Choice Award and Certificate of Excellence from TripAdvisor!

They’ve got fast wifi, are pet-friendly (a rarity at beach clubs in Tulum), and you can join the other activities onsite if you don't mind an extra fee.

Tulum’s beaches are a shining feature for the trendy town, and it is easy to see why. The white sands and sparkling blue water are a dream! And if you’re like most tourists in Tulum, you’re looking for a bit of a party to go with your sun and sand. Maybe you booked a room at a beachfront hotel with an endless bar, bumping music and good food. Or you may have opted to stay in Tulum town instead of on the water. Either way, you’re in the right place for good vibes and good times.

But when your eardrums get tired or you need a yoga class to detox the chaotic energy from the partying, Amansala is the place to be.

Amansala is “Authentically Tulum.” From the staff to the food, the music to the venue itself, visitors are welcomed with open arms to a space that radiates the holistic spirit of Tulum.

But enough with the fussy stuff. Let's dive into the details of the Beach Club!

Amansala Beach Club

The Beach Club

The Beach Club is at Amansala Grande, the main hotel of the Amansala properties. You can spend $45 to hang out poolside, in a cabana, or atop one of their wooden or cushioned loungers. The $45 is only for access to the Beach Club facilities. These include the showers, pool, cabanas, and tables, etc. You’ll pay for your food and drinks separately. Quite frankly, that is one of the better parts of the Club because you’re not forking out a cover fee with a minimum spend for food you won’t eat

And you will want to eat here. But more on that later.

Once you’ve paid for your day pass, head through the gardens and out onto the patio where you’ll find the pool and jacuzzi overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Get here early enough for breakfast and you’ll have your choice of tables and cushioned benches up near the restaurant and bar. You can make use of one for the entire day, or move your things to one of the tepee-like cabanas dotted across the beachfront.

The styling of the cabanas and the entire grounds at Amansala radiate a holistic, minimal, and tranquil energy.

Style and comfort

But that does not mean you will lack comfort—every spot has a cushioned seat. Even the main beach chairs are like giant bean bags, perfect for relaxing while you soak up the Mexican sun!

And while you’re busy choosing where to leave your supply of reef-safe and biodegradable sunscreen (very important!) and your wide-brimmed hat, one of the staff may ask if you’d like a refreshment…

The Food & Drinks

Listen. The food at Amansala is outstanding. Fresh ingredients and simple meals are elevated by excellent service and the friendly faces serving you! It is details like this that elevate Amansala and have made them one of the most popular spots in Tulum for years.

If you stopped in early for breakfast, the pancakes are fabulous! And the huevos rancheros are stunning. But also ask for any specials, and always ask the servers what their favorites are, too! Pro tip: a green goddess juice will pair beautifully with whatever you choose.

If you have a food allergy or have an alternative eating style, like plant-based, never fear! There are tons of choices for you. From crisp tofu to delicious seasoned garbanzo beans or a plate full of veggies, you won’t leave hungry.

Remember the juices from breakfast? Those are an option all day long. Once you hit the afternoon lull where the sun feels too high but you can’t leave, snag one and lounge poolside. It will be the perfect refresher before you head back to your accommodations or tide you over through dinner. The evening menu at Amansala is the same as their lunch menu. As always, ask your server for specials, what their favorites are, and top things off with an Amansala original drink! Try the Boho if you are in the mood for a little jalapeño spice. Or, if a crisp watermelon refresher sounds like the perfect end to your day, go for the Sansala.

Healthy Food at Amansala

Amazing food

Lunch is a culinary delight! Whether you choose a salad or a main course, you will be wowed. The namesake salad, the Amansala, is an excellent choice with chicken and a mango smoothie. If you want something heartier, go for the shrimp tacos. The chipotle mayo is a perfect hint of spice that plays with the freshness of the cabbage slaw and the shrimp!

  1. The Other Activities

If you get tired of laying on the beach, pop over to The Sweat Shack, part of Amansala’s Bikini Bootcamp experience. The wooden weights are a welcome change from the normal gym, but still pack a punch.

And should you really feel adventurous, join a group class (pilates, dance, or fitness) for $35. These classes are part of the retreats that have attracted Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Reese Witherspoon to Amansala!

Pilates, weights, or dance not your thing? Inquire about a yoga class instead! The instructors' gentle energy guides you through various flows from one of two shalas at Amansala Grande. Your body will feel relaxed and centered with the ocean as you let go of the stresses of your life outside Tulum. Classes for non-guests and participants are $20.

When your day is finally done, you are sure to leave Amansala as a friend, and with a sense of calm.

This eco-chic hotel is the perfect mix of bliss for the traveler that seeks luxury that is sustainable and accessible. Whether or not you stay with them, plan a visit to the Amansala Beach Club on your next trip to Tulum! You’ll thank yourself later!
