March 1-7, 2007 SHRI YOGA CELEBRATES AWAKENING THE MIDDLE
WITH ELIZABETH ROSSA AND CARI FRIEDMAN

Join Elizabeth and Cari for a week of Anusara yoga and self-exploration in the midst of ancient Mayan energy. Amansala www.amansala.com is located on one of the most stunning beaches in the world, where time seems to virtually stand still. Steps from the Caribbean, this magical place will shift you forever, capturing your commitment to living fully. Sleep blissfully as waves crash at the door of your beautifully appointed palapa, and then awake to the most incredible of sunrises, yoga, beachside massages, Mayan clay treatments, long walks and fresh delicious meals. There will also be plenty of time for optional trips to the ancient ruins, snorkeling and diving in the famous cenotes, bicycle treks, kayaking and even, a traditional Mayan sweat lodge.

"AWAKENING THE MIDDLE" is the inspiration of our retreat. For in the middle, we are at the center point of all possibilities. Filled with difficulties, fear, pressure, OR great potential, richness and endless choices, the middle is a place where both sides open equally in order to reveal and allow our true perspective to take form. This perspective will dispel doubts and make way for the greatest of teachings to unfold within us. We will explore passages from the great Indian text, The Bhagavad Gita to guide us on this path of discovery. Through the Tantric perspective, we will see "how" to apply the YOGAs of Karma (action), Bhakti (devotion) & Jnana (knowledge). Through a challenging practice of Hatha yoga we will cultivate our intuition to see what we truly value, thereby letting go that which is not important and re-committing to a life of integrity and consciousness.

RETREAT INCLUDES:

  • 6 stunning nights + 7 gorgeous days on the beach
  • 2 yoga classes a day with Elizabeth and/or Cari
  • Meditation
  • 1 massage
  • 3 healthy, delicious meals daily, freshly made with local ingredients
